Gini Wijnaldum will inform Liverpool of a decision on his future this Friday.
Sky Sports says Wijnaldum will inform Liverpool of his final decision over whether he intends to stay at the club beyond this season or not by the end of this weeks. The Reds have tabled a fresh contract offer to the midfielder, whose current terms expire in June.
The 30-year-old has spent the last four-and-a-half years at Anfield since a £25million switch from Newcastle and has been one of Jurgen Klopp's most regular performers.
Wijnaldum has racked up 208 appearances in that time, scoring 20 goals and laying on 16 assists including vital contributions en route to the Reds' Champions League and Premier League triumphs in the past two campaigns.
But the Dutchman is currently set to become a free agent in the summer and can discuss pre-contract terms with clubs as of Friday, when the January transfer window opens.
Wijnaldum will make a decision on his future this week, with Liverpool having tabled an offer for him to stay.
