Wijnaldum happy if Liverpool sign more midfielders: That's how big clubs work

Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum insists he can handle squad competition.

The Dutchman accepts at a club the size of Liverpool there's never a moment he can relax.

“I think it's good that there are a lot of good players here as when you train with them it makes you automatically get better," Wijnaldum said.

Liverpool is a big club in the world and will always sign big players. I'm not really worried if they sign a player because every player has to show in training that they should start games so when you get a chance you have to make sure you're ready.

“If a midfielder does well this season Liverpool might buy him next season and then there is more competition for a midfield position. That's how it is at big clubs.

“When good players do well, all the big clubs want to sign them. The only thing I'm interested in is giving 100% and trying to convince the manager he has to choose me."
