Yohan Cabaye has revealed Wigan Athletic winger Charles N'Zogbia convinced him about a move to Newcastle United.
The Lille midfielder completed his move to Toon on Friday.
"I spoke to Charles N'Zogbia and David Rozehnal before joining Newcastle. They both said it was a good choice to come to Newcastle," he said.
"They said I would have a great time, especially with the fans.
"And those fans appear special. Before signing for Newcastle, I watched some videos on the internet, and particularly the game against Sunderland when Newcastle won 5-1.
"I could see there was a great atmosphere in the stadium, and I really want to see what it's like to play at St James' Park and in the Premier League.
"I'm very excited about playing at St James' Park, now I hope I can adapt quickly to the Premier League."
