Ben Watson was back in action after around five months on the sidelines with a broken leg.
The 27-year old Wigan Athletic midfielder returned to the pitch with the Latics U21s on Monday, playing the opening 45 minutes against Huddersfield Town.
Watson broke his leg against Liverpool on November 17 and is looking to be back in Roberto Martinez's plans prior to seasons end.
