Wigan Athletic are set to land Motherwell fullback Mark Reynolds for £1 million.
The Scottish Sun says the 23-year-old is set to seal a deal before the transfer window in England closes at 6pm and will battle fellow Scots Gary and Steven Caldwell for a place in the Latics back line.
Former Well star Martinez has also taken Hamilton midfielders James McCarthy and James McArthur south in the last year.
Two years ago Well rejected £1m from Rangers for Reynolds when then boss Mark McGhee made the matter a resignation issue.
