Wigan's Rosler wants Ramis to put missed Palace, Cardiff moves behind him

Wigan Athletic manager Uwe Rosler has implored Ivan Ramis to forget about his failed winter transfer to the Premier League.

The 29-year old Spanish centre-back was a loan target for both Crystal Palace and Cardiff City last month but deadline day came and went without him gaining a move away from the DW Stadium.

Latics boss Rosler has now urged Ramis to put the missed opportunity behind him and focus on the job at hand for the 10th-placed Championship side.

"For Ivan, it's important psychologically he overcomes the situation, and what happened in the last 10 days," he said.

"I expect him to be professional about it, as I expect all my players to be. They are all employees of this very good football club, which pays very good wages.

"Obviously there is sympathy there, and we did try to help him as much as we could. But in return he has to put in a shift in training and convince me that he is ready to play."
