Wigan land handy away win at Bolton

An Amr Zaki penalty on the brink of half-time was enough for Wigan to take the points over Bolton at Reebok Stadium.

It was the Latics second win on the trot despite injuries to goalkeeper Chris Kirkland and striker Emile Heskey before and during the game respectively.

Bolton's Andy O'Brien challenged Henri Camara in the area on 44 minutes but it was deemed to be outside the laws of the game by referee Philip Dowd and he awarded a penalty which Zaki duly netted for his 11th goal this term.

Wigan have now jumped to 7th on the league table whilst Bolton are reeling after two defeats and have fallen to 11th.
