Wigan Athletic are said to be hoping that Kolo Toure will be given the green light to take over as manager.
The former Manchester City and Arsenal defender, who is presently a first-team coach at Leicester City, is Wigan's choice for the top job.
According to Wigan Today, the club are hopeful of reaching an agreement with Leicester to secure Toure.
One issue is that Toure has a deal with Leicester that lasts until 2025, which means he will not be easy to acquire.
Leicester would be willing to let Toure leave, but will likely require decent compensation for their coach.
Wigan are hoping to have Toure in charge for their next game against Millwall on December 10th.
