Swansea City boss Roberto Martinez is in the sights of Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan.
The People says Whelan will make a move for his old 'amigo' Roberto Martinez - if Steve Bruce leaves the JJB Stadium.
Bruce has guided the Latics to safety for a second successive season and has been linked with a move back to his native north east to manage Newcastle.
If Bruce fails to resist the lure of St James' Park, Whelan will go for Swansea chief Martinez, a man he brought to England a decade ago.
