The chairman of League One side Wigan Athletic has put in an offer to free agent Jack Wilshere.
The former Arsenal midfielder spoke to The Athletic in recent days about his struggles to find a new club at the start of this season.
The veteran is out of contract, with no club keen to take a chance on him given his injury history.
Wilshere was once seen as one of the best prospects in the game, but his potential was never reached due to constant injury troubles.
Wigan's chairman, Talal Al Hammad, posted on Twitter: "You are most welcome to join us @LaticsOfficial".
