Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez is in talks with chairman Dave Whelan today after a disastrous start to the season.
The Spaniard's future could possibly be on the line if Whelan does not receive the right answers, says the Mirror.
Whelan faces a big decision on Martinez before the end of the month and the closing of the transfer window. Rumours of a move for old boss Paul Jewell are growing.
Jewell was at the match as a TV pundit and would be Whelan's choice if an SOS call needed to be made in the near future.
Bookie William Hill make Martinez favourite to be next Premier League manager sacked.
Hill spokesman Graham Sharpe said: "Martinez heads the market after Wigan's increasingly lengthy line of drubbings at the end of last season and the beginning of this.
"Ownership concerns have seen Alex McLeish's odds shorten. West Ham's less-than-impressive start has cut Avram Grant's too."
