Wigan Athletic manager Paul Cook is pleased to be working with on-loan Everton midfielder Beni Baningime.

Baningime was praised by Cook after making his debut for the Championship side last weekend.

The Latics drew 1-1 with Rotherham to remain seven points clear of the drop zone.

“It must have been such a culture shock for Beni to come into the team for a game like that, coming from Everton," Cook said afterwards. “But we had no choice really, and I thought he acquitted himself really well, and grew into the game."
