The wife of Manchester City wing-back Oleksander Zinchenko has revealed how he is taking notes on the coaching of Pep Guardiola.
Zinchenko has been with City since 2016, having been identified and signed as a youngster at FC Ufa in Russia. The Ukraine international is now a key member of manager Guardiola's squad.
And his wife, TV presenter Vlada Sedan, reveals Zinchenko returns home from training and immediately takes down notes of what he learned from his Spanish coach during the day.
Quoted by Sport Express, Vlada told Vatsko Live: “Zina is taking notes on Guardiola.
"He outlines changes in tactics, moments during training, innovations.
"He notes all this and shares it with me. We have a big notebook at home, a big folder where he writes everything down. Sometimes he explains things to me. I do not manage to understand everything at once, sometimes he has to explain it three times."
Vlada works in Ukraine as a football reporter for Channel Football 1/2.
This season, Zinchenko has managed 16 appearances for City, including ten in the Premier League, producing one assist. The 24 year-old has a contract with City to 2024.
City are currently clear at the top of the Premier League table by seven points. They next go to Everton on Wednesday night.
