Gianfranco Zola was missing last night for Chelsea's FA Cup defeat to Manchester United.

The assistant manager missed the 2-0 loss due to illness.

BBC Sport reports Zola wanted the game from home.

It's claimed the Italian was struggling with a bout of flu and stayed away from the ground for the day.

Chelsea face Malmo in the second leg of their Europa League last 32 clash on Thursday before the Blues meet City again in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley on Sunday.
