Why Tottenham rejected move for Leicester sensation Maddison

Tottenham had a chance to sign James Maddison in the summer.

But the North London club decided against the move, which led to him signing for Leicester instead.

They could have signed him in 2015 when he was a teenager, per the Evening Standard.

And they were interested in the summer, but felt that he would not get into the team ahead of their current attackers.

Spurs have a lot quality in those positions, with the likes of Son Heung-Min, Christian Eriksen, Erik Lamela, Dele Alli and Lucas Moura competing for a few positions.

Maddison has starred for Leicester with five goals in the Premier League this term.
