Who will be the big surprises of the Bundesliga?

Whilst it is still very early days in the Bundesliga, two straight wins for Bayern Munich will mean that it would be a fool to bet against the side picking up yet another league title.

And whilst Bayern Munich becoming champions might be something of a foregone conclusion, for other teams in the Bundesliga, it's going to be as difficult to predict as a game of roulette.

Last season saw RB Leipzig overcome being the most hated team in German football to somehow enjoy their first season in the Bundesliga by getting a very credible second place in the table.

However, things don't look to be going so well for Ralph Hasenhüttl's side as they suffered a shock 2-0 away defeat to Schalke 04 on the first day of the season. So who could prove to be the biggest surprise of the Bundesliga 2017/18 season?

All eyes will be on Hannover 96 to emulate RB Leipzig's success as the newly-promoted side have so far enjoyed an unbeaten record. With credible wins over Mainz and Schalke 04, there will hopes that André Breitenreiter's side could be enjoying European football next season if Martin Harnik can continue his impressive form.

However, they face a tough challenge from Wolfsburg on Saturday. The team will be hoping to improve on last season's mediocre performance, and with new signings like Divock Origi, it's expected that Wolfsburg could be a team to watch this season.

In terms of individual players, then it should come as no real surprise to find that Robert Lewandowski is currently sitting on top of the goalscoring charts. The Bayern Munich star has scored three times in two games and will be looking to cement his reputation as being the world's best striker.

However, with the blog at Lucky Nugget Casino suggesting that we should keep our eyes on players like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Serge Gnabry and Leon Goretzka, it shows just how much depth of talent there is in the Bundesliga.

But perhaps the most remarkable part of the season so far has been how Werder Bremen are languishing at the bottom of the table. Whilst their 2016/17 season was fairly unremarkable, few would have expected the team to have started the season with two successive defeats.

However, with Werder Bremen stars like Max Kruse still suffering from the embarrassing fallout of his adventures amidst the poker and roulette tables of Berlin, it seems as though this famous side have much to overcome.
