Manchester United have two attacking targets remaining after passing on Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale.
The Red Devils have long been touted as a destination for the 29-year-old, but the club are instead focusing on younger recruits.
Daniel James, 21, sealed his move from Swansea City on Wednesday as United kicked off their summer activity.
The Mirror says transfers chief Ed Woodward also has Lyon striker Moussa Dembele and Lille winger Nicolas Pepe in his sights.
Pepe has been targeted by Bayern Munich and Liverpool this month, while Dembele is viewed as direct replacement for Romelu Lukaku, should he depart for Inter Milan.
Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser has also been named as alternative, although his signing would be unlikely given the arrival of James.
