What cash crisis? Lille president reveals Prem offers for stars

Lille president Gerard Lopez admits fielding offers from England for his players.

Despite claims of Premier League spending contracting due to the coronavirus, Lopez says he's had big offers for his players since the suspension.

Lille defender Gabriel is a target for Chelsea and Everton, while midfielder Boubakary Soumare is wanted by Newcastle United and Liverpool. Victor Osimhen, meanwhile, has been linked with Manchester United.

Lopez told AFP: "Indeed, LOSC has received three firm offers over the past two weeks, including two from England. I think that a possible drop in prices will not penalise LOSC, because we have young players with a lot of potential who are in great demand.

"There are only three or four players who should leave, not ten, so it won't affect our transfer window. LOSC is in a special situation because we made the Champions League this season, we made a very good last summer transfer window and we had a record year in terms of marketing and ticketing, so we are not dependent on trading."
