Mitsubishi Electric Australia has renewed its sponsorship of Western Sydney Wanderers FC, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.

The brand has extended with the A-League side until the end of the 2018/19 season. The partnership originally began in 2013.

Western Sydney Wanderers, who in 2014 became the first Australian team to win the AFC Champions League, finished a disappointing ninth in the ten-team A-League in 2014/15.

"Since the partnership began, the Wanderers have created a great sense of community and driven grassroots programmes in Western Sydney," said Jimmy Needham, the managing director of Mitsubishi Electric Australia.

"The positive impact on the area is truly inspiring and we're thrilled to support this.

"The Asian Champions League win in 2014 was a huge achievement for football in Australia and we feel privileged to have been part of this wonderful story."
