Western-super-Mare winger lured to Falkirk

Falkirk have agreed a deal to sign Weston-super-Mare winger Jack Compton. The 21-year-old former West Brom player has been attracting interest from a number of clubs after impressing for Weston-super-Mare and Falkirk have moved to lure the winger to Scotland.

The youngster has signed a pre-contract agreement and will link up with Eddie May's side when the transfer window reopens in January.

Falkirk's head of football development, Ross Wilson, revealed the club beat a host of sides to Compton's signature.

"We are delighted to have secured Jack's signature," Wilson told skysports.com. "There were a number of clubs interested so we decided to move quickly to complete a deal.

"Jack has signed a pre-contract agreement and will join the club in January."
