West Ham youngster Poyet thrilled to complete loan move to MK Dons

Diego Poyet was delighted after landing a move to Championship club MK Dons on Wednesday.

The 20-year-old Uruguayan midfielder has joined the Milton Keynes outfit on a season-long deal from West Ham United and admits he is eager to make an impression with last season's second-placed League One side.

"It's great to be here. I first heard about the move a couple of days ago and it was an exciting option for me. I'm pleased it's been able to go through," he told the club's official website.

"I've had a good pre-season and I'm feeling fit. I want to play games and I'm grateful to the club for giving me an opportunity to come and do that – I'm raring to go now and can't wait for the season ahead."

The Dons, managed by Karl Robinson, sit third on the second tier table with two wins and a loss from their opening three fixtures.
