West Ham are weighing up a bid for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud.

The Mirror says West Ham have a long-standing interest in Chelsea striker Giroud who now has less than a year left on his contract.

The Irons made a tentative approach for him before his arrival at Stamford Bridge, while he was still considering his future as an Arsenal player.

Giroud turned them down, well aware that he'd had much better offers.

With his contract up at the end of the season, however, West Ham are monitoring his situation as Manuel Pellegrini looks to add quality to his front line.
