West Ham veteran Pablo Zabaleta admits he'd be open to a move to Italy.

Zabaleta comes off contract at the end of this season.

"If I continue to play in Europe, Italy will be one of the leagues I have not played in yet," Zabaleta tells Arab News, "but I've always been thinking about the Middle East, too.

"I was with the national team in Saudi Arabia and Qatar. They're making great strides, with improved football standards and passionate fans.

"I played in top leagues and I believe I can give experience, versatility and quality."
