West Ham turn to Espanyol striker Borja Iglesias

West Ham are moving for Espanyol striker Borja Iglesias.

Real Betis have been strongly linked with a move for the Galician, while Everton were ready to pay his release clause back in January, though the player wanted to see out the rest of the season at the RCDE Stadium, says Marca.

Carlos Garcia Pont, Espanyol's vice-president, stated on Friday that there is a chance that Iglesias could join Betis, however the issue with their offer regards the method of the payment.

The 26-year-old has a 28 million euro release clause and, in order to pay in instalments, Betis are willing to pay 30m euros, a bid that Espanyol seem ready to accept.

Now West Ham are making their move as they seek a new goalscorer.
