West Ham United striker Andy Carroll has been ruled out for up to six weeks after injuring his hamstring in the 3-1 win over Bournemouth on Tuesday night.
The Daily Mirror is reporting the 27-year-old is waiting on the results of scans undertaken on Wednesday, before the full extent of the injury is known.
Carroll was required to leave the field after just 15 minutes of the Hammers' clash with the Cherries.
"It's a big blow for us because he has been working really hard. He came back after a long, long injury," West Ham boss Slaven Bilic said.
"I don't understand it because we're resting the players. We're not training a lot. We can only hope it won't last that long. He is disappointed because he knows he was back."
