Sunderland striker Josh Maja is closing in on a move to Bordeaux in France.

West Ham United had been interested in signing Maja.

The 20-year-old is out of contract in the summer.

While he has been in great form, netting 16 goals this term, he is at risk of leaving on a free.

And Sunderland want to recoup at least £3 million for the player. Sky Sports suggests a deal will be done soon, with just the fine details of the transfer fee and personal terms left to arrange.
