Emmanuel Adebayor's deadline day move to West Ham United fell over due to a contract wrangle with Tottenham.
The 31-year-old striker was keen to join the Hammers after speaking with Slaven Bilic on Monday but was unable to negotiate the final year of his contract with Spurs.
According to Sky Sports, Tottenham offered to pay a portion of Adebayor's final year £5million deal but the former Arsenal and Manchester City man rejected their proposal, which forced his move to Upton Park to collapse.
Adebayor will now remain at White Hart Lane and could be included back in Mauricio Pochettino's setup after the North Londoners failed to sign a new striker before the window closed.
