West Ham United are in talks with Bayer Leverkusen for Stefan Reinartz.

The 26 year-old defensive midfielder has enjoyed an impressive campaign this season in the Bundesliga.

Rheinische Post says West Ham see Reinartz as a replacement for on-loan Barcelona midfielder Alex Song.

The Germany international is understood to be open to a move abroad.

Along with the Hammers, Eintracht Frankfurt, Hamburg SV, Borussia Mönchengladbach and FC Köln are also keen.
