West Ham take commanding lead in Europa League group with win over Genk

West Ham United have taken a commanding lead in their Europa League group after pummelling Genk at London Stadium on Thursday.

The Hammers secured a comfortable 3-0 win in front of their adoring fans, maintaining their 100 per cent record in the competition.

David Moyes' side barely threatened in the first-half until Craig Dawson looped home a header on the stroke of half-time.

The hosts came out firing in the second stanza as Issa Diop headed in via the crossbar from Aaron Cresswell cross.

Jarrod Bowen made it 3-0 less than a minute later after he cut in from the right and fired in a low drive out past goalkeeper Maarten Vandevoordt.

Nikola Vlasic should have made it 4-0 shortly after but his shot from the six-yard line was blocked.
