West Ham United are in talks with Catania striker Gonzalo Bergessio.
The Argentine, 29, has been speaking with the Hammers for over a month and was tabled a two-year contract, with the option for another 12 months, last week.
West Ham representatives are scheduled to fly to Sicily this Friday to hold talks with Bergessio about accepting their proposal, says TMW.
Bergessio, who attracted interest from Tottenham last season, is keen on a move to England, though also has fielded enquiries from Fiorentina and Sampdoria.
