West Ham striker Carroll: Body holding up well

West Ham United striker Andy Carroll says he's feeling good about his fitness ahead of today's clash with Swansea City.

Carroll says his body is coping well with the stress of returning from the injury that ruled him out of the first half of the season.

He said: "I thought I did alright at Chelsea, obviously I had a shot before I came off, that I could've done better with. But I thought I put myself about and I felt good.

"Obviously it's going to be hard for me, not being fully match fit to go back out and do it all again, but I'm confident that I'm feeling good and I felt good against Chelsea and in the Manchester City game. Hopefully Saturday's exactly the same.

"The body's feeling surprisingly good, with all the work that I've been doing, before training and before games and obviously in the game. So I'm feeling pretty good."
