West Ham striker Antonio: Premier League drought was playing on my mind

West Ham United forward Michail Antonio admits not scoring in the Premier League since January had been weighing on his mind.

The attacker grabbed his first league goal since the start of the year against Norwich City in a 4-0 thumping.

West Ham showed their intent to finish in a top six position and qualify for the Europa League, after exiting the same competition at the semi-final stage in midweek.

Antonio told the club website after the Norwich win: "It had been weighing on my mind, to be fair. It's been four months and, as a striker, you want to be involved in the goals.

"Especially with how I started the season as well – I thought I would be on a few more goals than I'm on right now."
