West Ham star Soucek available for Genk clash

West Ham United midfielder Tomas Soucek is keen to take on Genk in the Europa League on Thursday.

The 26-year-old took a boot to the face from Salomon Rondon against Everton during the Hammers' 1-0 win.

A plastic surgeon operated on Soucek's lip on Tuesday.

However, manager David Moyes indicated that the combative midfielder is ready to play to help his team progress to the Europa League knockouts.

"Tomas wants to play," Moyes said in his pre-match press conference.

"He's fine. I don't think his injuries would be any reason not to play him.

"I said to him, "Look at my eyebrows, Tomas".

"My eyebrows have been stitched up from my years of being a centre half and getting cut, so he's got a few more stitches before he gets to this level."
