West Ham United are eyeing Seattle Sounders striker Obafemi Martins.

The Telegraph says Martins has emerged as a January target for West Ham.

The Hammers are desperate to sign a new striker as soon as the transfer window re-opens and Martins has joined Diego Forlan and Diego Milito as an overseas loan option.

Martins is currently with MLS side Seattle Sounders and could be available for loan during the off-season in America.
