West Ham's Henderson heads to Bournemouth

West Ham United goalkeeper Stephen Henderson has joined Championship club AFC Bournemouth on loan.

The 25-year old Irishman will stay with the Cherries until January 2 after number one Ryan Allsop received a suspension and his back-up Darryl Flahavan sustained a thigh injury.

"We felt we needed to bring in an experienced goalkeeper who has played the level," manager Eddie Howe told the Daily Echo.

"He's a good shot-stopper, he's experienced, a good kicker and good coming for crosses so he ticks all the boxes and we are delighted to have brought him in."
