West Ham United are closing on a deal for Villarreal midfielder Arnaut Danjuma.
The Mirror reports the 25-year-old is expected to complete his move to East London this week with personal terms all agreed.
A final transfer fee still needs to be thrashed out but it is expected Danjuma will cost around £38.5million — a club record for the Spanish side.
Danjuma's buyout clause is closer £43m but the Hammers are hopeful of shaving that down. The Dutchman, who has been capped six times by Holland, joined Villarreal from the Cherries in 2021 in a deal worth up to £19m.
He had an excellent season in La Liga, scoring 11 goals in 23 matches, and in the Champions League he scored six goals in 11 matches.
