West Ham are pushing to sign Genoa defender Armando Izzo.

The Sun says the Hammers are eyeing a deal for £8.5million-rated Genoa defender Izzo.

New Irons boss Manuel Pellegrini has already brought in Issa Diop to strengthen the club's back line.

And now he looks to bolster it further with the signing of the 24-year-old Italian who operates as a centre-back.

Former Napoli star Izzo has made 97 appearances and scored two goals since joining Genoa in 2014.
