West Ham prevented Domingos Quina from leaving on-loan on deadline day, it has been revealed.
The Daily Mail says the Portugal Under-21 had his heart set on a temporary switch to the promotion chasing League One outfit Scunthorpe United as he looks to get regular senior football under his belt.
The deal collapsed owing to West Ham's insistence that Scunthorpe paid them a substantial loan fee.
The 18-year-old is yet to make an appearance for the first-team in the Premier League this season but has featured for the Hammers in the Carabao Cup.
