West Ham preparing bid for Barcelona striker Martin Braithwaite

West Ham United are preparing a bid for Barcelona striker Martin Braithwaite.

The Daily Mail says West Ham are looking to make a bid for Braithwaite as they look to boost a flagging attack that has left them fighting relegation from the Premier League this term.

The Hammers as well as Everton had shown interest in the Barcelona striker who only arrived at the Nou Camp in February for £15million in a controversial emergency signing approved by La Liga.

Barca are keen to make a profit for the former Leganes striker who across all competitions has scored eight goals across 30 appearances this term.

However, the Spanish champions may be willing to allow the former Middlesbrough forward to leave for a similar price they purchased him for, especially as he is likely to be deemed surplus to requirements this summer.
