West Ham players want Moyes rewarded with extension

West Ham United should offer manager David Moyes a contract extension - according to his players.

The Hammers have improved since a dodgy start to the season, with their latest impressive result a 1-1 draw with Manchester City.

According to the Daily Mail, the club are hesitant as they want to ensure no relegation fight happens this season before giving Moyes a new deal.

But the players are huge fans of the 57-year-old, and they believe he has done a fantastic job at the back end of last season and the start of this one.

Owners David Sullivan and David Gold admit they should never have fired Moyes in 2018, but are still taking their time in deciding whether he is the man to take the club forward.

Moyes is also relaxed about the situation and would be happy to have talks about an extension as the season progresses.
