West Ham are set to up their push for Club Brugge attacker Hans Vanaken.

Sky Sports says West Ham have failed with an opening offer of £10m for the attacking midfielder.

However, the Irons won't stop there and intend to make a new bid.

West Ham are being encouraged by Vanaken's camp, with the Belgian eager to play in England.

The stumbling block is Club Brugge, which are under no pressure to sell after cashing in on Charles de Ketelaere with his €35m switch to AC Milan.
