West Ham owner Brady doubles down on Liverpool 'null and void' comments: It's only fair

West Ham United owner Karren Brady has defended her comments that Liverpool should not be awarded the Premier League title should this season be cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Brady wrote in her column for The Sun that if the season could not continue then the only "fair and reasonable thing to do is declare the whole season null and void."

And writing on Twitter, Brady doubled down on her comments, stating that she was simply prioritising the safety of fans, players and staff.

"Everyone agrees that LFC deserve to win the title," she wrote.

"The Premier League and EFL are doing all we can to ensure the season is finished. Including suspending games, isolating players, and if required playing games behind closed doors and into the summer months.

"My point was safety of fans, players, staff come first and if the remaining games just cannot be played the only fair and reasonable thing is to declare [the] season null and void."
