West Ham open talks with Wolfsburg for Nacho Camacho

West Ham have opened talks with VfL Wolfsburg for Nacho Camacho.

The Spanish midfielder only moved to Wolfsburg last summer from Malaga and has previously courted interest from Leicester City.

Wolfsburg are ready to sell Camacho this month, but West Ham would prefer an initial 12-month loan arrangement with the option to buy.

Camacho is well known to the new Hammers' brainstrust, having played for West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini at Malaga, while sports director Mario Husillos sold him to VfL while in charge of the LaLiga outfit.

Camacho, 28, has been himself sidelined at Wolfsburg due to the wealth of their midfield options.
