West Ham new boy Henry sends open letter to Toronto fans

Doneil Henry has written an open letter to Toronto FC supporters upon his departure from the club.

The 21-year old defender joined West Ham United on the weekend after spending the first four-and-a-half years of his professional career with TFC.

Henry signed with Cypriot club Apollon Limassol in October last year but now finds himself at the beginning of what could be a successful Premier League career with the Hammers after coming through the ranks with his beloved Reds.

Part of Henry's letter read: "As I embark on my new challenge at West Ham United, TFC will always have a special place in my heart.

"I would like to thank all the passionate fans for all their support and patience, encouraging me as I developed into the player I am today.

"Toronto FC will be always be my home!

"Thanks for all the great memories."

The entire letter was made available on Toronto FC's official website:
