West Ham move for Brighton defender Shane Duffy

West Ham are moving for Brighton defender Shane Duffy.

The London Evening Standard says Hammers boss David Moyes wants to add some experience in defence, with Brighton's Duffy a target, while a right-back is also wanted.

Given his options at the back are rather short, with Angelo Obgonna, Issa Diop and Fabian Balbuena the only out-and-out central defenders in the squad, there is little appetite to sell Diop despite reported interest from Manchester United.

Moyes worked with Duffy during his time at Everton and sees the 28-year-old as a fine option to bring experience to West Ham's backline.

Duffy is also in talks with Celtic boss Neil Lennon.
