West Ham midfielder Wilshere impressed by Rodri

West Ham United midfielder Jack Wilshere was impressed by Rodri during Saturday's 5-0 thrashing by Manchester City.

Wilshere's dead leg was enough to make the West Ham player think that the former Atletico midfielder does not need time to adjust to the physicality of English football.

"I've got a dead leg. He seems to know what the Premier League is about already. I'm fine," he said. "That's part of playing in the Premier League. You get kicks. I've got a dead leg but it will be gone soon.

"You can see from the way Pep is on the sidelines - he's animated and you can tell when you're lining up against them in the tunnel that they're up for it. They're focused and they know what football's about.

"They're the best in the league at keeping the ball but they also know you have to put your foot in in the Premier League."
