West Ham midfielder Jack Wilshere is ready to do a full summer of preseason training.
The midfielder has been persistently crocked over the last five years and has made just four starts for West Ham since moving from Arsenal on a Bosman last summer.
But Wilshere made substitute appearances in the Hammers' final two home games following his latest ankle setback and is ready for a few months of hard graft in an attempt to get his career back on track.
He said: “I'm not naive enough to think that is the end of my injury problems. I will do everything I can to avoid them with strength and rehab work.
“I've worked so hard to get to this point. It's a big off-season for me because I'm now quite fit and I don't want to go away and come back and start again. So it will be a summer of work.
“When I've been injured I've always been thinking about there being someone in a worse position. So I've just tried to get on with it and carry on smiling. I'm feeling good again."
