West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek: We could've beaten Man City

West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek was happy with their point against Manchester City.

The home side struck first in spectacular style through Michail Antonio, but were pegged back early in the second half by away sub Phil Foden.

"We're happy with the result, even though we thought we could win," Soucek said. "Again we had chances and our defending was great.

"We've found a good atmosphere as a team this season, a nice spirit, and we're confident that we can play against teams like Manchester City, Tottenham and get results.

"It is a shame we could not win, but Manchester City had many chances as well so I think we both deserved the draw."

On Antonio's goal, he added: "Everyone know how big a player Michail is, and he has helped us many times.

"The same today - he has nice form and I hope he's good because he had to go off in the second half."
