West Ham United star Robert Snodgrass is ready for the new season.
The midfielder was ruled out of Project Restart due to a back injury.
And the Scotsman wants to bring that form into the coming season.
"It was just the timing of my injury really," Snodgrass told the club's website. "I felt as if I was training for a few weeks to get back and just pushing myself to the limit.
"I missed a lot of the warm-up games and then a good chunk of the games, so when I trained, I only had a short window to try and come back in. It probably just fell into a category where there wasn't enough time for me to play a part, and the lads were doing really well, so I think it was the best decision.
"I've not really had that type of injury – a back injury – before, so it was all new to me and it was a process I had to get through. It was difficult at times, but all injuries are and it's part and parcel of being in the game. It's one where you need to dust yourself down, move on, and keep driving forward to obviously be the best teammate and the best person you can be.
"Now, it feels very good to kick off another season. I'm feeling fit and feeling refreshed after a few weeks off, and to be back involved, up here in Scotland, is always a nice feeling. I'm excited for the challenge ahead."
