West Ham United star Manuel Lanzini says that he is regularly in touch with manager Manuel Pellegrini.
Lanzini says that he has an open line of communication with the boss, even though he is not due back in action for a few months.
The midfielder suffered a serious knee injury on the eve of the World Cup, which has kept him out of action since.
He recently returned to London following knee surgery and rehab in Barcelona.
Lanzini said to the West Ham United official site: "We have spoken a lot because he wants me to feel good and when I feel good and the knee stays stable and all of these things, I'll go back to the pitch."
He also thanked fans who constantly send him well wishes online.
"I can only say thank you. I always say thank you to the West Ham fans because they have been amazing.
"I've been at this club for three years and they were always good with me and I want to be back quickly and play for West Ham."
